Sarah & Tim

Ok this post is way late. Jean and I have been swamped this summer, both with personal events as well as business for the Studio. I'll be catching up on my blogs and posting some neat slide shows in the next week, so please check back often.
Let's get started with a fantastic wedding we did at the end of May. Sarah and Tim are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and you could just tell they were going to make an excellent bride and groom. And I mean that not only in the traditional marriage sense, but also from a photography point of view. They just have great personalities, relationships, friends, family - plus a great day for a wedding in Wheaton and a reception at Medinah CC. Please take a moment to view the slide show. Enjoy!

Siberian Huskies

Jean and I recently took portraits of a wonderful family plus their two Siberian Huskies. The main goal was to get one group shot for a 20x30 canvas print above their mantle. Easier said than done if you know anything about Huskies. I grew up with a Husky and they have minds of their own. But Bruno and Sarah were very cooperative, and the results speak for themselves.

See the full slide show here. Thank you Ivanov family!

Spring Cleaning
Hi all -
Spring cleaning season. I'm sprucing up our website, repairing equipment, filing tax returns (ugh), and taking a surprising amount of pictures for what traditionally is our slow season. We also took our annual family vacation to Captiva, Florida in April. I took five rolls of 35mm slide film with the Leicas plus several more rolls of medium format print film with the Rolleiflex. My rule is "no digital photography on family vacations." I'll share the pictures when I put together the slide show.
We're excited for an upcoming Spring wedding plus we have our annual ballet school photos right around the corner. It appears to be a busy season ahead.

paul

Updated Wedding Packages
With all the economic uncertainty throwing a wrench into your wedding plans (and budget!), I updated our wedding packages this week. I dropped the number of packages from five to four, and simplified them to include only the most popular products and services. They are definitely more streamlined and cost competitive.
I'm also excited to offer a new album choice. It's called a "LayFlat" album. It contains the same photo pages as the stunning "Flush Mount" album, but with a lighter weight binding. Take a peak here: LayFlat Album
Take a look at all our wedding packages here.
As always, I'm willing to work with you on a custom package to meet your unique needs and budget. If you are interested in our wedding photography services, please email me at info@paulboydphotography.com

Welcome 2009
January, February, and March are traditionally the slow months for a wedding and portrait photography business. To tell you the truth, I don't mind the slowdown too much. It gives me a chance to recharge my batteries and catch up on some things: updating my website, cleaning old equipment, testing new equipment, filing taxes etc. Hopefully, I can update my blog more frequently too!
Seems like a lot of people got engaged over the Holidays this year. We are receiving a lot of inquiries for Summer and Fall weddings, so please get on our schedule if you are planning a wedding. It's looking like a busy 2009 season! Best wishes to you and your family.
